The word "smoothie" comes from English and means soft. It is a creamy non-alcoholic beverage made from fruit and concentrated fruit pieces and juices, traditionally mixed with dairy products, ice or ice cream. It differs mainly from the rest of products of the same sector by its creaminess. It is usually added milk, soy milk or other vegetable milks or natural yogurt to enrich it with protein.
2/3 cup almond milk
1 cup red raspberries, fresh or frozen (if frozen, consistency will be more creamy)
2/3 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
3 tablespoons of Greek natural yogurt
1/4 tsp ice (helps thicken base, but is optional)
Lola Honey (optional)
In a blender pour milk from almonds, raspberries, strawberries, Greek yogurt, and ice. Blend in maximum velicity, until the mixture is smooth. Pour into a large bowl and decorate to taste! Top with raspberries, strawberries, almonds and granola. If desired, cover with honey, maple syrup or agave.
Serve immediately. Enjoy it!
